UFO’s, Black-Eyed Children, Werewolves and…. A Pigman? Part 3: Black Eyed Children & UFO’s
Dec 08, 2023Black-eyed children are enigmatic figures, often described as being between 6 and 16 years old, with unnaturally pale skin and solid black eyes. They are frequently reported to be begging or desperately trying to gain entry into houses or vehicles.
In 2014, a startling incident occurred in the woods of Cannock Chase. A mother, out with her children, captured several photographs as they climbed a tree. It wasn’t until later, when reviewing the pictures at home, that she noticed an unexpected presence. On the left-hand side of one photo, slightly set back, appeared to be a child holding either a hoop or a wheel, with distinctive solid black eyes.
A more recent encounter took place in 2021, during the COVID-19 lockdown. A couple of teenagers, longing for companionship, decided to camp in the woods. Throughout the night, they heard what sounded like something moving around their tent. Initially thinking it was a deer, they remained quiet, not wanting to startle the animal. However, the sounds turned out to be human footsteps. Upon investigating with a flashlight, they caught a glimpse of a child darting from tree to tree, occasionally peeking out. In one heart-stopping moment, the child, caught in the flashlight’s beam, bent down to tie her shoes and then ran off down a nearby path. The next morning, the teenagers found strange stick formations, akin to those in 'The Blair Witch Project', surrounding their campsite. While packing up, they spotted a child peeking from behind a tree with solid black eyes, prompting them to hastily leave the area.
Another witness recounted hearing a child crying in the woods. Concerned, they followed the sounds but found no one. As they turned to leave, they encountered a girl, about 10 years old, standing with her hands over her eyes. When the girl looked up, the witness was horrified to see her eyes were completely black.
So, who are these black-eyed children? There are several theories. One links to a diphtheria outbreak in the 1800s. Diphtheria, a bacterial infection, can cause a darkening of the skin around the eyes, which might be mistaken for solid black eyes. Another theory suggests a connection to the Cannock Chase murders of the 1960s, in which three young children were found dead in the area. The timing of these murders coincides more closely with the first reports of black-eyed children sightings in the 1980s.
While many theories about the black-eyed children veer towards the supernatural, another intriguing hypothesis connects them to the numerous UFO sightings reported at Cannock Chase. Could these mysterious children be extraterrestrial visitors, having arrived in their advanced spacecraft? This theory adds an interstellar dimension to the already baffling phenomenon, intertwining two of the area's most enigmatic and talked-about mysteries.
A 1960 report surfaced about an unusual sighting in Brocton, where an alien was allegedly seen pushing a car up a hill. Fast forward to March 2015, when hundreds of residents were startled by a thunderous, droning noise that shook their houses. Many who ventured outside reported seeing a strange object adorned with three red lights slowly traversing the sky.
The mysteries deepen with a lesser-known alleged UFO crash near Penkridge in 1964. A U.S. Navy officer, S M Brannigan, reportedly intercepted a Russian transmission about a malfunctioning UFO that split into two parts. One part supposedly landed in West Germany, and the other near Penkridge. Witnesses described a delta-shaped object landing in a field, later purportedly whisked away by Air Force Intelligence and NATO, partially concealed under a tarpaulin on a military truck. Rumors swirl about the confiscation of photographs taken by a witness, and the retrieval of three alien bodies from the crash site.
In Chasetown, on the edge of Cannock Chase, another bizarre incident occurred in 1995. Two 15-year-old boys claimed to have seen a spacecraft in a field, its occupant not a black-eyed child but a creature with a lemon-shaped head.
While these high-profile reports are intriguing, they are complemented by hundreds of accounts of strange lights in the skies over the years. What, then, attracts these phenomena to Cannock Chase? Although there's no active military presence there today, RAF Hednesford operated from 1938 to 1963 in the area. A popular theory suggests that UFOs are drawn to military establishments, leading some to wonder if Cannock Chase's past military use might be a beacon of sorts for these unexplained visitors.
So, what is the attraction behind Cannock Chase, drawing not only UFOs but a myriad of paranormal phenomena? While reports of such occurrences are common worldwide, it's rare to find them concentrated in one location. One widely held theory suggests that the area could be a nexus for a portal of some kind. But what kind of energy would be potent enough to attract such a diverse range of paranormal entities? It's hard to fathom the possibilities, but there's no denying that Cannock Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a hotspot for inexplicable and otherworldly activities.
